Background

Abu Dhabi Gas Development Company Ltd (Al Hosn Gas) was established by the Emiri Decree no. (03/2010) issued on 1st February 2010. The purpose of the company is to develop the Arab A, B, C and D sour gas reservoirs located in the Shah field, onshore Abu Dhabi. The field was explored in 1966. The development project of the Shah field has included both extraction of the sour gas, liquid hydrocarbons and sulphur from the reservoirs, and the construction and operation of all facilities required to produce, transfer, process, meter, store, transport and deliver the sour gas from the production wells to the delivery points. It has also included marketing sulphur for export abroad. Al Hosn Gas aims to successfully develop and operate the Shah field by utilizing the highest engineering standards, optimal construction and maintenance practices, environmentally sustainable safe operating processes, premier technology and leading competitive strategies.
