Commercial Business Manager

WeConnect Energy is currently recruiting for a Commercial Business Manager for an Energy company based in Aberdeen. This will be a full-time staff position.

Overview: Responsible for Stakeholder / JV Management, Agreement Development and Agreement Management Key Accountabilities: 

• Maintain clear understanding of business objectives, identify areas where stakeholder engagement required to secure support / approval 

• Manage CoVenturer and NSTA relationships to ensure JV alignment with asset plans 

• Oversee clear, high quality communications with Co-venturers, 

• Provide commercial guidance to Midstream team 

• Ensure delivery of timely, high quality joint venture committee materials 

• Integrate internal teams - ensure consistent, coherent external messaging Agreement Management 

• Ensure compliance with existing commercial agreements 

• Identify contractual risks and opportunities 

• Ensure interests are protected and advanced by leveraging rights & obligations

• Lead or support on dispute resolution with counterparties 

• Ensure internal functions execute their role in supporting agreement compliance; acting as focal point. 

Agreement Development 

• Lead or support drafting & negotiating of new commercial agreements and amendments 

• Lead or support process to respond to Requests for Service from third parties 

• Lead or support process to make Requests for Service to third parties 

• Draft & execute Contract Approval Proposals prior to making binding commitments Strategy and Planning 

• Support Strategy process as required with commercial guidance – contractual analysis & CoV perspectives, identify issues & develop mitigation plans 

• Understand and support development of new energy ambitions, including carbon storage, Hydrogen and electrification
